PANEL 1 (BASTICH, MTN. DEWD and BAPPER are standing together outside in their rural town after returning from the previous storyline.) BASTICH: Well, it's good to be back in normal time. Let's grab some grub to celebrate... BAPPER: Agreed! There's nothing like being ripped forward in time several months to fuel a man's appetite..!
PANEL 2 (MTN. DEWD stands at an ATM and reads a receipt.) MTN. DEWD: Okay... wait while I get some cash out of the ATM. What the--?! Hey Bapper... check it out...
PANEL 3 (BAPPER looks to BASTICH, holding up his own ATM receipt.) BAPPER: Huh..? WHOA! Stich, it looks like those scripts we left behind worked! Thanks to the combined miracles of Perl and direct-deposit, we'll all be rolling in cash till the time_t's roll over! BASTICH: Ha! And YOU wanted to use string.h!
PANEL 4 (Later, MTN. DEWD is wearing a blazer and tie as he bumps into BASTICH on the sidewalk.) CAPTION: Later... MTN. DEWD: Hey there, Bastich! How're you doing with all your ill-gotten funds? BASTICH: Oh, hi, Mtn. Dewd... The money's history. I spent it all at "Spandex Fist Comics" yesterday.
PANEL 5 (MTN. DEWD lifts his hands in exasperation.) MTN. DEWD: WHAT?! Are you telling me you spent that entire UNGODLY sum of money on COMIC BOOKS!? Man, you really ARE a hopeless geek!
PANEL 6 (BASTICH holds up a trading card with a large-busted woman as MTN. DEWD reacts.) BASTICH: Well... it HAS been eight months since I checked on my subscription list... Besides, most of it went into this lovely variant "Lady Necro" trading card... Only three of these babies were ever made! MTN. DEWD: Couldn't guess why...
